1. About these terms
These beta programme terms apply to organisations that K-Stra has invited to its beta programme. They add to the terms of use and sale and the privacy policy, which continue to apply in full. If these beta terms and the terms of use and sale say different things about the beta programme, these beta terms prevail for the beta programme only.
Each person who belongs to an organisation in the beta programme accepts these terms in the app, the first time they sign in after the organisation joins. We keep a record of each acceptance, as described in section 1 of the terms of use and sale.
2. Who takes part
The beta programme is by invitation only. We choose the organisations we invite, and an invitation cannot be transferred. The programme applies to the whole organisation: every member uses the same beta credits and the same limits.
3. How long it lasts
The beta programme lasts 12 months from the date it starts for your organisation, unless your invitation says otherwise. The start and end dates are shown in the app. We may extend it. Either you or we may end it earlier by writing to the other at least 14 days in advance, and we may end it immediately if your organisation breaches these terms or the terms of use and sale.
4. Beta credits
During the programme your organisation receives 1,000 credits each month free of charge, unless your invitation says otherwise. The first credits are added when the programme starts and then on the same day of each following month.
Beta credits work like the credits of a monthly plan: they are valid until the end of the month after the month in which they were added, and credits that expire first are spent first. They have no cash value, cannot be transferred or refunded, and any beta credits left when the programme ends expire on that day.
Credits that your organisation buys during the programme are not beta credits: they follow the terms of use and sale.
5. Usage limits
Two kinds of operation have a direct cost for us, so they have limits during the programme, unless your invitation says otherwise:
- Geocoding: up to 200 addresses a month can be geocoded with beta credits. Beyond that, geocoding is available only with credits your organisation has bought. You can always upload files that already contain coordinates.
- AI requests: up to 100 a day for the whole organisation, counting answers from the AI assistant and AI drafts, rewrites and comments in reports. The day follows Sydney time.
The app shows how much of each limit is left. An operation that would go beyond a limit does not start, and nothing is charged for it. We may change the limits during the programme by telling you in the app or by email at least 7 days in advance.
6. Features in the beta
The beta programme gives access to K-Stra as it is offered to every customer, and it may also include features that are not yet generally available. Those features may change, be withdrawn or contain errors, and we may change the service during the programme as described in section 12 of the terms of use and sale.
7. Feedback and communication
We welcome comments on K-Stra. You are not required to give any, and anything you send us we may use to improve K-Stra without any obligation to you. Using your organisation’s name, quotes or a case study still requires your separate written consent, as section 11 of the terms of use and sale provides.
We will email the members of your organisation about the programme: when it starts, before it ends, and to ask for comments.
To design our plans and prices, we look at how organisations in the programme use K-Stra — which operations they run and the credits those operations use — from the activity log described in the privacy policy.
8. When the programme ends
We email the members of your organisation 30 days and 7 days before the end. When the programme ends, the beta limits no longer apply, remaining beta credits expire, and your organisation continues on the free path described in section 4 of the terms of use and sale, unless it buys credits. Your analyses, reports and uploaded files stay in your account.
Taking part creates no obligation to buy credits or a plan, and nothing renews into a paid plan automatically.
9. Liability
Section 13 of the terms of use and sale applies. For an organisation that has paid us nothing in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to a claim, our total liability arising from the beta programme is limited to A$50, to the extent permitted by law.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. A new version is shown in the app for acceptance at the next sign-in, and earlier versions remain available. If you do not accept a change, you can end the programme as described in section 3.
