How much does K-Stra cost?

K-Stra is priced in credits, bought once or monthly and spent only when an analysis runs, with no subscription required and no per-seat fee. Exploring maps, drive-time areas and area dashboards is free without an account, and a free sign-up with no card gives you 40 credits.

Each module has one rule, and the quantity is always something you pick. The size of the area is never part of the price of an analysis.

Source: K-Stra credit tariff in force from 2 October 2026. The same tariff applies in the app, through the AI assistant and through the API, with one exception: drive-time areas are free in the app and charged per call through the API.
If a run fails or is interrupted, nothing is charged, and Retry does not charge again. Geocoding and imports are charged only for the rows actually processed, and the balance never goes below zero.

The remaining 20 credits pay for 40 answers from the AI assistant, at 0.5 credits each.
How do plans, extra packs and expiry work?
One balance, no per-seat fee
Credits belong to the organisation, so adding a colleague adds no fee. Owners can set monthly spending limits per team and per person on the shared balance.
One plan per organisation
Changing plan replaces the current one, never a second subscription. Moving up applies at once, with the difference for the rest of the cycle; moving down applies at the next renewal.
Extra packs on top of a plan
Ran out before the renewal? Buy a one-off pack: it adds to the balance and leaves the plan as it is.
Cancelling stops the renewal
Credits already received stay until they expire, and so do your saved analyses, datasets and invoices.
Do credits expire?
Yes. Credits from one-off packs last 12 months; plan credits last the month of renewal and the following month. The balance always spends the credits that expire first, and you get an email one week before they expire.

Pricing questions
Which currency will I be charged in?
Each currency has its own round price, never converted at the day’s rate. The app picks the currency of the country you browse from, and you can change it in your account settings. With an active plan, purchases stay in the plan’s currency.
Do unused plan credits roll over to the next month?
For one month. Plan credits are valid in the month of renewal and the following month, then they expire. Pack credits last 12 months, and the balance always uses the credits that expire first.
Can I buy K-Stra as an individual?
No. K-Stra sells to businesses only: checkout asks for your company name, address and tax details, such as an ABN or a VAT number. Prices on this page exclude taxes.
Can I get a refund?
Credits, packs and plan renewals are not refundable and cannot be exchanged for money, except where the law requires it. A run that fails is never charged, and if a run was charged by mistake we check the activity log and return the credits to your balance.
Do your prices include GST or VAT?
Prices exclude taxes, and K-Stra does not charge GST or VAT: every invoice states “No GST or VAT has been charged on this invoice.” Your accountant can confirm how to record the purchase in your own books.
Where do I find my invoices?
In the app, under Account → Billing, for anyone with billing rights in the organisation. Every invoice can be downloaded as a PDF and is issued in the currency you paid.
What if we need more than 3,000 credits a month?
Ask for an Enterprise agreement, with custom volumes and terms for large networks. Write to info@k-stra.com or use the contact page.
